about

this class is designed to give you structured practice in intermediate to advanced level knowledge of digital movement and compositing techniques, including the creation and management of digital artwork, puppeting, green screen, masks, blending modes, motion tracking, and particle effects.

animation is nearly everywhere you look, these days, but it is often invisible or otherwise blended in with live action and graphic design. young animators today can think of themselves as designers of movement, applying their skills to a variety of situations, such as video gaming, motion graphics, interactivity, biomedical visualization, and many other areas. in 2d computer animation, while the focus remains on animation, you are exposed to the areas of special effects, compositing, and contemporary approaches to traditional animation via software including After Effects, Flash, and Toon Boom.
